It had been too long since they had last visited. Both Isidor and Viatorus had known, however, that the moment they informed the Archon about the Nexus it would only be a matter of time before they were dragged back. Today their time was up. There were too many reasons to visit to be able to refuse without being impolite. Isidor had gotten them what time she could, but now with their home humming with activity there was no way to get out of coming along. At least with Oraskis around there was the possibility of it ending on a pleasant note.

The real questions all revolved around Verity. Her meeting with Isidor had been... a little prickly, but that was more because of his sister than his friend, and had ultimately ended well as far as he could tell. But this? This was leading Verity into his world, bringing her to der Drache and leaving her to fend for herself. If he could have it any other way... How would the Archon treat her? Would he bait her? Would he be civil? Friendly? Businesslike? Verity was a first in so many ways that it was impossible for him to make any reliable guesses. And what about Verity? How would she react to seeing his home? Meeting his- the Archon? What if she met his mother? Would she get along well with them? Would she find herself insulted by them? Would they argue? Would meeting them upset her? Oh gods, he hoped not. He had done a fine enough job of upsetting people already. The more he interacted with the Nexus, with people, the worse it seemed to get. Maybe it would go well. Maybe it would all go really well.

Perhaps it was telling that he was eager for this to go well in his choice of a pressed brown suit and tie with a faintly blue shirt. Second to the Samhain Ball it was probably the best dressed Verity would have seen him. There was not a hair out of place, no rumpled fabric to suggest he'd been napping or working long hours. If he hadn't come across as an entitled rich British boy before... he undoubtedly did now. At the predetermined time, he appeared at Naugus' tower with Isidor in a beige pencil dress and brown coat that matched her brother's outfit fairly well. This may be one of many times he's visited now, but he's still going to knock and wait. Simply walking inside feels far too rude.
