He may not be able to see her face, but the warning is clear. Her question is one that demands a thoughtful answer - or at least the due appearance of thought. Felix nods slowly.
"A fair question." He takes a step back, turning to look up at the triple-headed figure. "My talents lie in treating with the gods of other realms, with the denizens of planes and natures wholly alien to my own. I have learned to take them on their own terms. But I have met other mages who invoke the same powers with little regard for whom they deal with. Those who simply see rites and prayers as a token exchanged for power. It's... not an example I wish to follow."
He looks back down at the priestess then. His smile is friendly but his gaze is quite intent on those veiled eyes. "But I can hope that if any goddess will accept the offerings of a wandering mage, it is Hecate of magecraft and the crossroads. And so, my lady, what must a man do to truly understand Hecate?"
