It's a fitting analogy, and Adia is grateful that Harrowheart is able to explain so that Anna gets the reference. She blinks in surprise when Anna says she's funny, her expression one of pleased confusion. It's not a compliment she typically receives, often too shy to share any of her wit.
But, anyway, the conversation has moved on. She nods in agreement with Anna's assessment of the ceremony, then outright grins at Harrowheart's expression. She's pretty sure she was making the same face during the young couple's shy little kiss. "It was very sweet," she agrees. "They make an adorable couple." She just hopes it works out for them. It's still an arranged marriage, after all.
"Some people have engagement parties," she comments thoughtfully. "But they're often small affairs with friends. Something on this scale is usually reserved for royalty, or the very rich." Her mouth quirks into a wry smile. "Which I suppose technically is the case here."
