Adia's final comment leaves Harrowheart standing, staring, confused and quiet. His expression twitches, hints of emotions too quickly fleeting to be understood. A few times his mouth opens and closes as he tries to bring himself to answer her somehow, but every time he goes to speak he realizes he doesn't know what he wants to say.
"Thank you," is all he manages, quietly. It's a few more long, dazed seconds before he parts his lips one last time, but whatever it was he thought he should or could say, he doesn't. Instead he forces a small little smile, honest despite the effort it takes.
Maybe some day he will talk to Adia about it, but for now it seems he isn't quite ready to make that promise.
