That much is evident by the expression on Hephaestia's face which falls somewhere between suspicious and offended. It's a face that makes Emily do her best to bite back a laugh. At least his suggestion of teaming up makes her look more thoughtful than offended.

Besides, whatever he may have done wrong in regards to personal space he makes up for with talk of offering up foreign metals. The mention of the armour gets an immediate, "You should have!" A beat later Hephaestia's eyes narrow. "Did Isidor tell you not to? Patrons ruin all our fun..."

"What she means to say is: Thank you, your offer sounds splendid," Emily leans in to tell him.
