He nearly pushes right past Adia's question in his curiosity about her own studies but manages to catch himself before he gets too excited.
"It definitely helps. My science officer and CMO handle the chemistry and biology, and my helmsman doubles as a xenobotany expert. I'm much more at home with my chief engineer or in front of a computer terminal."
