The Nyströms are a small crowd of tall, blonde, tanned people, with the exception of the eldest man who is slightly shorter and rounder than the rest. In place of the Durants' sashes, they distinguish themselves (purposefully or not) by wearing lighter, brighter colours than the Durant. It's not hard to see where Runa's style came from. They are unmistakably her family.

They happily talk to whoever passes them by, which makes getting places a difficult task. Even as they start to disperse, they aren't very far from each other. That is, apart from one woman who is doing her best to shepherd three children around the garden while her husband holds a squirming baby with a certain level of concern.
