Naugus takes the returned fruit-turned-gemstone graciously. His look is initially sidelong, watching the guests who are still flustered with a sly smile, but one ear has turned to cup towards the Archeon. Listening closely to his words of warning, even though his smile doesn't falter. His gaze moves to once more meet the Archeon's now, holding that meaningful eye contact until the other man deigns to break it.
"Understood," the Ixian replies calmly, wearing a smile now more placating as he dips his head briefly in a respectful bow. Court manner now instead of trying to assert you're the biggest deal in the room. Switching gears. "Here, as means toward amends, and congratulations on your new status as father-in-law." The returned apple is held further out in front of Naugus in his pincer, the emerald of his staff tapped once against it, causing a wisp of purple energy to seep into it. The crystal fruit is then offered back once more to the Archeon, changed now to have a fluttering mote of light within it, like a guttering candle.
"Chaos energy," Ixis Naugus explains. "A limitless power source from where I once hailed. Desperately sought after once upon a time; entire wars fought and kingdoms rising and falling for want of it. Even just a taste as small as this is enough to do great, infinite things. A man interested in the core of magical energy and manipulation thereof can surely do great things with such a sample, hm?"
