"Does your type of magic require a connection with a particular element?" she asks Runa instead. "Or is it more a matter of general willpower?"

She takes another thoughtful look at the lab equipment. "Whoever set this up must be eager to find out. Your father's research could be the start of a paradigm shift. Sometimes a key discovery will throw older theories out the window." She grins. "It's an impressive effort at least. I'm glad I got to see it."
